Scandinavian Avionics was established by owner Hardy Truelsen in Billund, Denmark in April 1978 and over the years has expanded into a larger organization – The SA Group, including Denmark,  Sweden, Norway, Czech Republic, Greece, Malaysia, Bahrain and India, employing a wide range of specialists within various business areas.  

In the future, SA is committed to developing and expanding the SA Group, thus continually establishing additional capabilities and locations, emphasizing on a professional cooperation with our customers, suppliers and other partners.

The SA history outlined:

1978:   Scandinavian Avionics A/S established at Billund Airport, Denmark

1980:   Scandinavian Avionics Norway established in Oslo by purchase of local 
             avionics company.

             Scandinavian Avionics International Aps, established at Billund
             Airport Denmark (Instruments).

1988:   Scandinavian Avionics AB, Sweden established in Malmoe-Sturup
             by purchasing existing avionics company.

1994:   SA Sales Office established in Copenhagen Denmark.

             Ceska Letecka Servisni (CLS) established at Kbely Airport in Prague,
             Czech Republic as a joint venture company.

1996:   SA Malaysia established in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a joint venture
             company.

2003:   SA Greece established in Athens as a joint venture company by
             purchasing shares in local avionics company.

             Scandinavian Avionics Design Gmbh was established in Hamburg,
             Germany.

2005:   Scandinavian Avionics Bromma AB was established in Stockholm,
             Sweden as a joint venture company by purchasing Avionics part of
             Patria STO.

2008:   Scandinavian Avionics MENA WLL was established in Manama, Bahrain
             as a joint venture company.  

2010:   SA Air Works was established in Gourgaon, India as a joint venture
             between Scandinavian Avionics and the leading Indian provider of
             aviation MRO services Air Works.
